Community Garden Expanding to Three New Plots This Spring
The Hanwood Park Community Garden announced plans to add three new raised-bed plots, bringing the total to 24. Residents can apply for a plot starting March 1st. The expansion is funded by a generous donation from the Hanwood Park Garden Club and a matching grant from the city parks department. New plots will feature improved irrigation and ADA-accessible pathways. Orientation sessions for new gardeners will be held throughout February.
